About the role
This permanent, full-time human sciences specialist post works with children on the autism spectrum in cohabitation classes in Luxembourg's North region. Cohabitation classes bring together pupils with autism and their peers in mainstream schools, with specialist support that helps every child learn, communicate and take part in school life. The specialist supports individual pupils, advises teachers and helps to design adapted activities, routines and communication tools. The role involves observing pupils, contributing to support plans, and working with families and specialist teams so that support is consistent between school and home. Based at the autism centre in Leudelange, with work in schools in the North region, the post calls for patience, flexibility and a strong understanding of autism, as well as clear communication and teamwork.
