About the role

The Centre for Children and Young People with Autism Spectrum Disorder is recruiting two Human Sciences Specialists for cohabitation classes in Luxembourg's Central Region. In this full-time role you will teach, educate and support pupils with autism spectrum disorder who attend cohabitation classes, adapting your methods and teaching materials to each pupil's specific needs and learning goals. A typical day combines classroom teaching and individualised support with preparation of reports and progress assessments, regular meetings and interviews with parents, and ongoing dialogue with socio-educational professionals involved in each child's care. You will work within the framework of Luxembourg's education legislation, continuously re-evaluating each pupil's support plan on the basis of their diagnosis, your observations and exchanges with colleagues. The post also involves informing and advising parents and socio-educational professionals on specialised psychopedagogy and on how pupils with autism spectrum disorder are supported. You will be based in the Central Region and will work as part of the Centre's multidisciplinary team, combining autonomy in your classroom practice with close teamwork. The post may be filled as a state civil servant or as a state employee, and is also open to civil servants seeking a change of administration. Applications must be submitted online via MyGuichet by 23 November 2026; applications by email or post are not accepted.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree (at least level 6 of the Luxembourg Qualifications Framework) in social and/or educational sciences, curative pedagogy, psychology or pedagogy, special education, or an equivalent qualification. Very good mastery of the three administrative languages (French, German, Luxembourgish), spoken and written, is indispensable. You must be a national of a European Union member state. You know how to differentiate teaching and learning methods, adapt teaching materials to pupils' needs, organise and run parent meetings, draft reports and assessments, and apply specialist pedagogy methods and the legislative and regulatory framework of Luxembourg's education system. You define and operationalise objectives, show discretion and a sense of responsibility, are well organised, work autonomously and in a group, manage crisis and conflict situations, and are rigorous and reliable.
