About the role
The Centre for children and young people with autism spectrum disorder is recruiting two human sciences specialists for its cohabitation classes at Heiderscheid. In these classes, pupils with autism aged 12 to 18 learn together with their peers in an ordinary school, and your specialist contribution is what makes their inclusion succeed. You will provide teaching, education and vocational training tailored to each pupil, using specialist pedagogy methods to design learning that builds knowledge, independence and social confidence. You will work closely with teachers, educators and the wider school team, keep each pupil's support under continuous review in light of their diagnosis and your own observations, and adapt your approach as needs evolve. You will also organise and lead meetings and interviews with parents, inform and advise them and the socio-educational professionals involved, and draft the reports that record each pupil's progress. Drawing on the legislative and regulatory framework for this support, you will contribute to the centre's educational project and help sustain a structured, respectful and encouraging classroom. Discretion, reliability and calm crisis and conflict management are essential, as is the ability to work both on your own and as part of a team. This is a full-time post in group A2, under a civil servant, change-of-administration or trainee appointment, with two positions available. Applications are made online via MyGuichet, and the deadline is 18 November 2026.
