About the role
The Centre for children and young people with autism spectrum disorder is recruiting two human sciences professionals (graduate educators) for its cohabitation class at Heiderscheid. In this class, pupils with autism aged 12 to 18 learn alongside their peers in an ordinary school, and your role is to ensure that each of them gets the teaching, education and vocational training they need to progress. Working with the class team, you will differentiate teaching and learning methods for each pupil, keep their support under continuous review in light of their diagnosis and your observations, and adapt what you do as their needs change. You will organise and lead meetings and interviews with parents, keep them informed and advised, and draft the reports that document each pupil's journey. You will also apply specialist pedagogy methods, draw on the legislative and regulatory framework that governs this support, and contribute to the wider educational project of the centre. Discretion, reliability and the ability to manage crises and conflicts calmly are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This is a full-time post in group B1, under a civil servant, change-of-administration or trainee appointment, with two positions available. Applications are made online via MyGuichet, and the deadline is 18 November 2026.
