About the role

UNICEF Afghanistan is engaging an International Consultant for a three-month consultancy to conduct a pre-service nutrition training needs assessment and scoping study, based in Kabul with travel. You will assess how nutrition is currently taught in Afghanistan's pre-service health training institutions, identify gaps, and scope what a strengthened training approach should look like — foundational work for improving nutrition services for mothers and children. This is office-based consultancy work with field travel, suited to a public-health nutrition expert with assessment and curriculum experience in fragile settings. Consultancies of this kind are high-impact, short-term engagements for seasoned specialists. Apply through UNICEF's careers portal via the link below.

Requirements

- Advanced degree in nutrition, public health, or a related field - Demonstrated experience in training needs assessments or curriculum development - Knowledge of nutrition programming in humanitarian or fragile contexts - Strong analytical and report-writing skills - Willingness to be based in Kabul with travel within Afghanistan
