About the role

The Police grand-ducale is recruiting a master's-level IT Specialist for its Special Unit (Unité Spéciale de la Police), based in Findel. The Special Unit carries out the Police's most sensitive operational missions, and it depends on IT that works flawlessly under pressure. As its IT specialist, you will plan, coordinate and follow IT projects for the unit, network its computers and servers, and commission and maintain its applications and IT equipment. You will manage and commission the unit's mobile tools through mobile device management, and you will resolve IT breakdowns quickly so that operations are never left without the technology they need. You will develop and implement IT security strategies for the unit, manage its collaborative environments and tools, and write the technical documents that keep its systems understandable and maintainable. You will also develop and deliver training on the unit's internal applications and equipment, take part in choosing technology solutions, and follow new technologies that could serve the unit. The role also takes you beyond the desk: you will take part in training and exhibitions abroad, and you will participate as a technician in Special Unit training and interventions, collaborating with the Police's other services. After applications are received, a special test is organised. This is a full-time post in group A1, under a civil servant, change-of-administration or trainee appointment. Applications are made online via MyGuichet, and the deadline is 23 November 2026.
