About the role
The Lycée et école internationale de Mondorf-les-Bains runs a Special Educational Needs Service (EBS) that supports pupils whose learning, emotional or behavioural difficulties call for tailored help. This full-time post is for a psychologist who will join that service and follow pupils with specific educational needs through their schooling. A typical week mixes direct work with pupils and close collaboration with the adults around them. Through individual interviews and psychological evaluations — observation, interviews and standardised tools — the psychologist builds a clear picture of each pupil's difficulties and strengths, working in a multidisciplinary way with teachers and other specialists. On that basis, they help design, put in place and follow up the support and inclusion measures each pupil needs, whether in class or in individual follow-up. They also support and advise teaching teams and the school's Welfare department, and accompany and advise parents, explaining the situation and the measures proposed in clear, supportive terms. The role includes taking part in consultation meetings, follow-up teams and department projects, and keeping careful written traces of the work: reports, clinical notes and minutes that ensure continuity of follow-up.
