About the role
The City of Düsseldorf is looking for a road builder for its road construction department. You will build and repair paved surfaces and slab coverings, carry out asphalt work, install and remove road drainage facilities, and take on special duties such as winter and flood-protection service, including call-outs outside normal hours. You need completed training as a road builder, road maintenance worker, asphalt worker or sewer builder, initiative, commitment, a sense of responsibility, teamwork, the ability to work independently, high physical resilience, reliability and a friendly, dependable manner. An unrestricted driving licence class C1E or class B (with willingness to obtain C1E) is required, along with readiness to work evenings and weekends. Permanent, full- or part-time, TVöD-VKA E 6.
