About the role

As a senior policy officer for hybrid threats, you will work on policies that help protect the Netherlands against threats that combine different methods, such as disinformation, cyber activity and pressure on critical systems. You will analyse developments, prepare policy advice, work with colleagues inside and outside the ministry, and help turn complex security questions into clear, workable policy. The work is for 36 hours per week on a permanent contract, based in Den Haag. It suits an experienced policy professional with strong analytical and writing skills, political awareness, and the ability to work carefully on sensitive topics with many different partners. Your work will help keep society safe and resilient in a changing security environment.

Responsibilities

- Analyse developments in hybrid threats and security risks. - Prepare policy advice and briefing material. - Work with colleagues and partners inside and outside the ministry. - Contribute to strategies and measures against hybrid threats. - Follow political and international developments.

Requirements

WO-level education, experience with policy work, strong analytical and writing skills, and political awareness.

Benefits

Permanent contract, 36 hours per week, and a gross monthly salary of EUR 4,818 to EUR 7,956 (salary scales 12, 13).
