About the role
The Veterans Health Administration is hiring an Accounting Technician in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to support the financial operations behind veteran healthcare. You will review accounting and payment records, chase down and resolve discrepancies, put together audit packages, and help reconcile purchase-card transactions so public money is properly accounted for. This is a full-time, permanent GS-07 post working Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You need one year of specialised experience equivalent to GS-06; there is no education substitution for this grade, so hands-on accounting experience is essential. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, complete a one-year probationary period and an online assessment, and meet the flu vaccination requirement.
