About the role
The Ministry of Defence is recruiting two documentalists for the General Intelligence and Security Service (ADIV) in Evere. You will support strategic and operational analysis by working with the large volumes of information available to the service: finding, selecting and managing the material that analysts need for deeper work. This is a permanent, full-time statutory post at level B, as an administrative expert (salary scale B1), open to external candidates. A typical day involves searching and processing information, entering and maintaining data in databases, classifying and structuring documents so they are easy to find, proofreading documents, and helping meetings run smoothly. You will keep building your knowledge of your subject areas and follow developments so they feed into how documentation is handled. The information you process is written in Dutch and English, and both languages are assessed during selection. Working hours follow a 38-hour week with sliding hours, with limited telework possible. The post is based at Eversestraat 1, 1140 Evere. Applications close on 9 November 2026.
Responsibilities
- Select and manage information from the large amount of data available to ADIV - Distinguish relevant from non-relevant information and map causes and effects of events - Classify, structure and group information in databases and pass it to analysts for further analysis - Search, process and select information and make it available in the most accessible way - Enter data in databases and manage databases (selecting, sorting, updating, standardising, correcting) - Proofread documents - Carry out administrative and logistical tasks linked to managing information sources - Help organise meetings and keep them running smoothly - Keep developing your knowledge and follow developments in your work areas
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree, with the ability to analyse information in Dutch and English; both languages are assessed during the selection procedure. A good knowledge of French is an advantage. Selection is in Dutch, by diploma screening, computer tests at FPS BOSA in Brussels, and an interview with a case study. Candidates cannot apply by email; apply through the official Travaillerpour.be portal before the deadline.
