Information Systems Administrator

About the role

The Commission Nationale de Réforme du Droit (CNRD) is a permanent commission created at the Presidency of the Republic of Benin. Based in Cotonou, it is recruiting an Information Systems Administrator to run and protect its day-to-day technology. This is a full-time, on-site role, working 40 hours per week on a fixed-term contract (CDD) of two years, renewable, under the President of the CNRD. The administrator will keep workstations, systems and networks running reliably, look after equipment and software, protect access and data, and give clear, patient help to colleagues who are not IT specialists. No salary is stated in the official call: remuneration is communicated to selected candidates only. There is no application fee. Responsibilities

- Administer workstations, systems and networks, and keep hardware and software maintained and up to date. - Carry out regular backups and help protect the Commission's data, systems and access rights. - Apply IT security principles, manage user accounts and access, and respond to security risks in a proportionate way. - Diagnose incidents, resolve technical problems, document interventions, and follow up until systems are stable. - Support non-specialist users with clear explanations, practical guidance and training where needed. - Keep an inventory of equipment and software, and plan maintenance and replacements. - Work with the Commission's teams to keep digital tools reliable for meetings, documents and day-to-day work.

Requirements

- A master's degree or equivalent in IT, systems and networks, systems administration, cybersecurity, databases, or a relevant field. - At least five years of relevant experience in systems administration, networks, IT support or a related area. - Proven ability to administer workstations, systems and networks, and to maintain hardware and software. - Knowledge of backups, access management and IT security principles. - Ability to diagnose incidents, document interventions clearly, and support non-specialist users. - Rigour, discretion, availability and a strong sense of service.

Preferred qualifications

A professional AI certification is an asset. Experience in a secure institutional environment is also an advantage.
