About the role

Kalmar kommun is looking for assistant nurses (undersköterskor) for its care administration (Omsorgsförvaltningen), with 13 full-time permanent posts available. You will work in home care, residential care homes and municipal primary care, including units in Lindsdal, Kajalen, Hemtjänst Söder, Kaggen and Södermöre, the care home on S:t Kristoffers väg, and short-term and relief services in municipal primary care. Work is person-centred, strengthening each care recipient's independence, participation and wellbeing, with support, motivation and delegated health care tasks from licensed staff, in cross-professional teams. Working hours follow a roster covering days, evenings and weekends, starting by agreement, and you may be asked to work at another unit within the administration when needed. Permanent staff are war-placed at their workplace, and some posts are security-classed, so a security vetting under the Security Protection Act may be carried out before an employment decision.

Requirements

Trained assistant nurse with a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen), good communication in speech and writing, good computer skills, and personal suitability. A B driving licence is required for rural posts and cycling ability for central home care groups. An extract from the police criminal record register must be presented.

Preferred qualifications

Experience of elderly care and knowledge of delegated health care tasks from licensed staff.
